Historically, Vitamin C (which is acidic) and retinol (which performs best at a higher pH) were thought to require separation. However, with well-formulated products like Vivier’s, this is not always necessary - our Vitamin C serums and Retinol can be layered consecutively.

If you’re looking to optimize your retinol results or improve tolerability, you may choose one of the following approaches:
1. Wait at least 30 minutes after applying Kine-C before applying your Retinol
2. Use Kine-C in the morning and Retinol in the evening
3. Use Kine-C and Retinol on alternating evenings
